Which European country that you have not yet visited is top of your list to see, and why? Norway because our son lived there and loved the scenery, coastline and people but it is scarily expensive!
What is your speciality dish to cook? Corned beef rissoles – one my mother taught me and one of only two dishes I can cook.
If you were to give one suggestion to the CEO of LinkedIn, what would it be? Please stop bothering me with irrelevant suggestions and vague connections – I don’t need them! Rant over.
What is the most enjoyable book that you’ve read recently? “The Narrow Road to the Deep North” – Richard Flanagan- Booker prize winner 2014 and a hard but ultimately gratifying read.
What would be your karaoke song? “Only The Lonely” – Roy Orbison 1963 – pure class – you wouldn’t understand!
Who would be the guests at your dream dinner party? Sammy Davis Jnr., Tom Hanks, Sebastian Faulks, John Steinbeck, Mark Twain and oh Miriam Margolies – satisfies most of the senses.
What do you most enjoy about working in executive search? Being retired and being given special treatment about what I do; it gives rise to many really interesting conversations with largely bright, motivated people. Oh… and hearing the ringing of bells!
Mountains or sea? Perversely both, as a hill walker and lover of being near or at the sea.
What is your favourite film? “The Green Mile” which is associated with one of my dinner guests.
What would you rather fight – 20 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck? The 20 small ones as I can no longer flee a big b….y duck!
