Helen joined Henley in 1997, became Head of Research in late 2000 and was appointed a Director of the company in 2007.

Helen has a joint honours BA Degree in French and Music, has lived in both Switzerland and France and is one of our French linguists. Her business experience includes commercial roles for one of the national chains of hotels, industrial experience having worked with an electrical services company and a manufacturer of home products, and healthcare knowledge having worked in an administrative role with one of the country’s leading healthcare providers.

Helen has broad sector exposure having worked on many mandates over the years. She has deep experience in Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Healthcare, FMCG, Industrial, Manufacturing and the Public Sector.

Q&A

Which European country that you have not yet visited is top of your list to see, and why?

I’d love to go to Norway and visit the fjords at some point; spectacular scenery and the calming environment are very appealing.

What is your speciality dish to cook?

I’ve been told that I cook a ‘mean’ lasagne, but that’s about the limit to my cooking skills.

If you were to give one suggestion to the CEO of LinkedIn, what would it be?

To tidy up the infrastructure of the platform and bring back better search functionality for the free and premium accounts.

What is the most enjoyable book that you’ve read recently?

Angela Marson’s crime thriller series – thanks Diana for the tip off.

What would be your karaoke song?

Dream a Little Dream of Me – Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

Who would be the guests at your dream dinner party?

Lee Mack, Rob Bryden and David Mitchell…. Guaranteed wall to wall laughter; the best ingredient for a good night out.

What would you rather fight – 20 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?

This sounds like an interview question that Google might throw at you! Fighting’s not my thing… regardless of size or numbers I would always seek to find a resolution without having to resort to combat… and if that doesn’t work then I’d dig out some carrots for the horses or some corn and oats for the duck and try to get them onside with food instead!
