Henley MD speaks at ERA Annual Conference

Wednesday 10 May 2023 – Mark Senior, Managing Director of Henley Research International, spoke about the 20 year history of the ERA (Executive Research Association) at the ERA’s Annual Conference held at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London.

He highlighted huge changes in executive research over 20 years, in particular advancements in technology and the impact each of these has had – mobile phones, social media, AI, the internet and big data analytics. He stressed that, whilst technology will continue to change the way researchers operate, providing easier and quicker access to data, strong interpersonal contact would remain at the heart of great executive research and talent insight.

The ERA is a network of research and resourcing professionals promoting excellence, providing a forum and supporting members in the sourcing of global talent.

What sort of data do Talent Directors need?

What sort of data do Talent Directors need?

Without the right data, recruitment and retention is significantly more challenging.

Below are a few thoughts from us:

  1. Relevance and Accuracy

Making informed decisions about talent requires up-to-date data that is specific to your business and market.

  1. Customisable Reports and Analytics

We provide reports and analytics that are tailored to our client’s specific talent needs and objectives.

  1. The ability to predict

Identifying talent issues before they become a problem is key.

We provide insights that help Talent Directors identify potential talent shortages so they can take proactive measures to address them.

  1. To understand what the data says

Quantitative data only holds so much value, but the real insights lie in the qualitative interpretation, and the actions a Talent Director needs to take next.

  1. Competitive Benchmarking and Comparison Data

Talent Directors need to know what data can reveal about competitors in order to gain or maintain a competitive edge.
